Use a spare piece of wood to support it 1’’ above the deck’s rim joist. Fasten the stop block to the rim joist every two to three feet and then attach the boards.
The deck board needs to be notched around the guardrail posts before they are placed. Transfer the posts’ line to the deck board using a speed square. Keep the speed straight away from the post’s side. Use a speed square to mark the post on both sides.
After that, mark the deck board to be cut at the post’s center measurement, then cut the measurements. Place the deck board on the deck frame once all notches have been cut out.
Set the deck board in place with a clamp so that it is flush with the rim joist’s exterior edge. Push firmly on the deck board and rim joist with the clamp. tighten the clamp, then switch to the next clamp until it is finished.
